An Exponential Solvent Chamber Geometry for Modeling the VAPEX Process

Accurate simulation of the VAPEX process relies heavily on precise modeling solvent chamber propagation. In previously developed models, possesses either a linear, circular, or parabolic shape. this study, an exponential model was considered to represent propagation throughout spreading and falling stages process. The tuning parameters proposed include function coefficient transition region thickness. These are altered by employing MATLAB-based Genetic Algorithm (GA) minimize error between determined measured cumulative produced oil in four experimental case studies presented literature. According outcomes, method can accurately adjust values both stages. Additionally, thickness obtained is reasonable agreement with laboratory measurements. Accordingly, average relative errors all cases for 7.73% 5.12%, respectively. Consequently, estimates production rate precision predicted shapes well-aligned experimentally observed chambers.
